About Us

C & S Sports Center, Inc. was opened in April of 1976 under the original name of C & S Yamaha. Under the ownership of Gary Cotsman and James Stovak, the business first opened on South Mission Street in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Six years later, in June of 1982, the business moved to its current location of 4741 East Pickard.
Gary Cotsman left the partnership in April of 1984 due to a change of interest. However, the name C & S, which stands for Cotsman & Stovak, has held strong since the beginning.
When C & S Sports Center, Inc. opened in 1976, the building housed approximately 1,600 square feet. The building has been expanded four times since it first opened, and now stands at 17,000 square feet and growing.
Up until the Summer of 1994, Yamaha was the only franchise that the business carried. Soon after that, however, C & S became a Harley-Davidson dealer as well. The Harley-Davidson franchise was bought from Miller's Harley-Davidson in St. Louis, Michigan.
With two thriving franchises under the ownership of C & S Sports Center, Inc., the dealership was not done expanding. In the Fall of 1999, C & S made the decision to carry Arctic Cat's line of products including ATVs and snowmobiles. Then, at the beginning of 2007, C & S decided to carry Suzuki as well.
C & S Sports Center, Inc.'s future outlook includes continued growth, expansions, and an even wider variety of products and services available to its customers.
COMING SOON: In the Fall of 2007, C & S plans to open the Lowrider Cafe. The restaurant, which will be located right next door, will feature home-cooked food and daily specials. The cafe will be open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday. More information will be available soon!
